Hello funky people, It's been operational for a few months now, but I wanted to take this opportunity to declare the official launch of the all new look Funk Network UK website www.fnuk.com The aim is to create the worlds largest community of funky bands and musicians, so that everyone can network and help grow the scene. There are bands with links on the site from all over the world and it's growing all the time. I hope you manage to make use of the great potential the site has for making contacts and opening new opportunities. Please take a few seconds to join the FORUM and help to spark off some discussions. Also please keep me on your mailing lists for your band info and gigs, it's not easy to get to a lot of gigs as I live in Newcastle, but it's nice to know whats going on. Hi Dr Tommy, Good to hear from you again. Your web links look cool, I would really like to hear some Japanese funk too but I can't find any mp3 or streaming audio. I did try to send emails to some of the bands you mentioned but I never heard anything back. You will probably have seen the all new look Funk Network UK web site www.fnuk.com There is now a form so that bands can submit their own information. Perhaps you could contact the bands in Japan and suggest that they get their information on my site. ? I would love to go to Tokyo again one day, I stayed there for a week a few years ago as a traveller, And I stayed mainly at a cool little Ryokan in the city. There were lots of other travellers there. I never found any funk nights though, which was a shame. It was probably because I can't even read Katakana, never mind Kanji so it was impossible to find anything.
